For the first time in 116 years

Britain has announced the appointment of Blaise Metreveli as the new Director of British Intelligence Service (MI6), becoming the first woman in history to hold the position.

The British government said in a statement that Metreveli, 47, who is currently MI6's chief of technology and innovation, known as "Q," joined the British intelligence service in 1999 and has worked mainly in Middle Eastern and European operations. The agency's current chief of intelligence, Richard Moore, will step down this autumn after five years in the role. สล็อต
